New plants in Bukhara and Surkhandarya represent a combined investment of $315 million and are designed to process almost one million tonnes of waste annually after commissioning in 2028.

The Bukhara project, backed by Wangneng, is valued at $165 million and is designed to process 547,500 tonnes of waste a year while generating 230 million kWh of electricity. It is expected to create 150 permanent jobs.

The Surkhandarya facility, developed by CHSET, carries a $150 million investment value and is expected to process 438,000 tonnes annually, generate 75 million kWh and create another 150 jobs. Both projects are scheduled for commissioning in 2028 under 30-year operating arrangements.
