The EBRD package totalled US$65 million, comprising a US$55 million senior loan and up to US$10 million of concessional finance. A possible equity bridge loan of up to US$5.5 million was also planned.
The project combines a 20 MW electrolyzer with a 52 MW wind plant. Annual renewable-hydrogen output is expected to reach up to 3,000 metric tons. The facility is expected to avoid around 22,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year.
The transaction creates a regional precedent for green industrial finance; output and emissions are projections, while the bridge loan was contemplated rather than disbursed.
