Law LRU-907 on privatisation of state property was dated 14 February 2024. The new statute contains 9 chapters and 45 articles and replaces the 1991 law.

Eight privatisation methods are recognised, including exchange sales, public negotiations and competitive dialogue. The law requires publication of programme implementation and transaction-stage information for each asset. The law entered into force three months after official publication.

The framework improves procedural certainty for strategic and financial buyers, although individual deal quality will still depend on disclosure, valuation and competition.
