Foreign investment and loans absorbed into fixed capital totalled UZS 156.7 trillion in January–June 2024. Foreign loans carrying a Republic of Uzbekistan guarantee totalled UZS 13.6 trillion.
Foreign direct investment and unguaranteed foreign loans totalled UZS 143.1 trillion. Guaranteed sovereign-backed loans represented about 8.7% of the headline total, while FDI and unguaranteed financing represented about 91.3%. The release separately reported UZS 76.3 trillion in other foreign investments.
The composition shows the dominance of non-sovereign external finance; the separately reported 'other' category should not be added without clarifying the underlying methodology.
