Cabinet Resolution No. 204 was adopted on 16 April 2024 and introduced household tariff bands from 1 May. Monthly household electricity use up to 200 kWh was priced at UZS 450 per kWh.

Consumption from 201 to 1,000 kWh was priced at UZS 900 per kWh. Higher bands were set at UZS 1,350, UZS 1,575 and UZS 1,800 per kWh. Eligible homes with centralised electric cooking received a 50% reduction to the stated tariffs.

The reform supports cost recovery and energy-sector bankability, while also affecting inflation, household disposable income and utility cash flows.
