Five solar and one wind plant across six regions, with 2.4GW of combined capacity, were commissioned or connected to the grid. The portfolio included 900MW of Masdar solar capacity, the first phase of a 500MW Navoi wind project and first-stage capacity at two China Gezhouba solar projects totalling 1GW.

Total project value was reported at US$2bn. At full operation the facilities were expected to serve 2m households and save 2bn cubic metres of natural gas. Uzbekistan reported a further 22 solar and wind projects totalling 9GW under development and a 27GW green-capacity target for 2030.

The grid connection converted a major project-finance pipeline into operating assets and demonstrated execution capacity at multi-gigawatt scale.
