Seven local and international advisers submitted proposals for the mandate. Deloitte was selected as privatisation adviser for the state share in Uzbekinvest.
The mandate includes financial, tax, legal and environmental due diligence. The adviser is responsible for valuation-related market work, investor marketing materials, a virtual data room and the draft sale and purchase agreement. UzSAMA committed to an open, transparent and competitive international process.
The appointment moves the insurer's privatisation into international preparation and marketing, but does not yet indicate bids, an agreed valuation or a completed sale.
