UzSAMA opened a two-stage sale of a 99.55% stake in Shargunkomir, a producer with 900,000 tonnes of annual capacity and disclosed coal reserves.
UzSAMA launched an open sale of a 99.55% state stake in Shargunkomir through expressions of interest and binding offers, with Alkes Research as adviser. The announcement starts a sale process and does not identify a buyer or completed transfer.
The underground producer reported 900,000 tonnes of annual capacity and the same level of actual 2024 output. Disclosed reserves were 31.5m tonnes in categories A+B+C1 and 7.1m tonnes in C2, alongside railway infrastructure, a dry-enrichment plant and offtake contracts.
The offering provides a rare control opportunity in a producing mining asset with disclosed logistics and resources. Diligence should test reserve quality, mine plan, costs, safety, environmental liabilities, customer terms and sustaining capital requirements.
