EBRD invested almost US$900m (€839m) across 26 Uzbekistan projects in 2022, versus the previous US$690m record in 2021. It arranged US$520m of syndicated debt for two Bukhara wind farms with 1GW of combined capacity.

It organised US$74m for a 500MW Navoi wind project. New trade-finance limits totalling US$210m were extended to four Uzbek banks. A US$20m cross-currency swap was executed to develop hedging capacity for foreign-currency borrowing.

Actual capital deployment confirmed bankable scale and a broader toolkit spanning syndicated renewable-energy debt, trade finance and currency hedging.
