EBRD approved a senior secured loan of up to €10m within a €19.8m project to establish and ramp up copper-pipe and fittings production.

EBRD approved a senior secured loan of up to €10m for MaxCopper within a total project cost of €19.8m. The financing supports the establishment and production ramp-up of a new copper-pipe and fittings plant; the approved limit is not the same as funds already drawn.

MaxCopper’s stated export strategy targets Türkiye, Europe and neighbouring markets. EBRD assigned the project an ETI score of 74 and included workforce training and support for export-sales capability alongside the physical investment.

The project backs a new private entrant in a concentrated industrial segment and creates a capital-structure precedent for export-led metals manufacturing. Execution will depend on commissioning, copper-price pass-through, certification, utilisation and customer acquisition.
