EBRD Provides US$20 Million Green and Inclusive Package to Ipoteka Bank

The total financing package was up to US$20 million (€18.46 million equivalent). US$10 million was provided under the Uzbekistan Green Economy Financing Facility II.

A further US$10 million was allocated to women entrepreneurs under the Central Asian Women in Business programme. The borrower was Ipoteka Bank, controlled by Hungary's OTP Group.

The package demonstrates a privatised bank's access to international funding and expands green and gender-linked products in Uzbekistan's financial market.
