EBRD approved a senior secured facility of up to €20m for the Uzbek cable producer’s working capital and expansion into EU export markets.
EBRD approved a senior secured loan of up to €20m for Artikul Aziya Kabel, split into a committed €10m tranche and an uncommitted €10m tranche. The approval defines availability; it does not show that both tranches were drawn.
Proceeds are intended for raw-material purchases and working capital supporting copper cable and wire production, including solar and power cables. The project also targets exports to the European Union and includes governance, digitalisation and workforce measures.
The facility provides a cross-border corporate-debt benchmark for an export-oriented Uzbek manufacturer. Credit quality will depend on copper-price pass-through, working-capital discipline, export certification, customer concentration and the use of the optional tranche.
