Headline inflation ended 2022 at 12.3%, while core inflation reached 13.8%. The CBU projected 2023 GDP growth of 4.5–5.0% and year-end inflation of 8.5–9.5%. The next policy meeting was scheduled for 16 March 2023.

The decision established the year's opening benchmark for government-bond yields, soum funding costs, bank lending and the discount rates applied in valuation work.
